A man accused of a deadly shooting at a gas station along Cleveland Avenue was taken into custody Saturday.
Columbus police on Wednesday charged Abdulbasid Ahmed, 20, with murder in connection with the fatal shooting of 22-year-old Hassan Hassan at a Shell gas station and Safina World Restaurant.

 
Officers responded to a report of a shooting around 7 p.m. on Jan. 2 at 4431 Cleveland Ave. and found Hassan shot in the back.
Ahmed, police alleged in charging documents, was in an argument with a group that included Hassan. Police accuse Ahmed of firing at least two shots from a handgun at Hassan as he exited the restaurant.
Witnesses identified Ahmed as the shooter, according to charging documents.
Police released images of Ahmed and said he was considered armed and dangerous. Jail records show he was booked on Jan. 7 and has an arraignment scheduled for Monday.
